A truly clever, London based brand that mixes humor, much like that of Looney Tunes with the bold visual elements of anime, that fans are all too familiar with and love. You may recognize the name or have seen Mayamada in previous WORD posts, but in this one, I get a chance to pick the brain of Nigel, a founding member, to see just how this brand ticks and how they go about creating such a unique product. So sit back, relax and get comfortable as I formally introduce you all to Mayamada.

Mayamada Frozen Yogurt Release Party at Tutti Frutti in London

Hi everyone! Here is a quick video from our friends at Mayamada's frozen yogurt release party that went down last month at Tutti Futti in London. New tees, frozen yogurt, life size Jenga and cupcakes...oh my! Looks like it was a great time had by all those who attended. But wait, the release party was just the tip of the iceberg or rather yogurt-burg...anyone...anyone? Ok, maybe that was a stretch.

Mayamada Clothing

Hope everyone is having a great week, thus far. I want to take some time to mention a really cool, anime inspired t-shirt brand called mayamada. Hailing from London and self described as a "tongue in cheek, mix between Looney Tunes and Japanese TV,"  this brand is truly unique in some interesting ways. First, the brand is set in a fantasy television station that features an all animal cast. Next, each "show" on the station has a corresponding tee to rock! This is a really great concept that I have to admit is a first for me. Below are some examples of the beautifully animated tees you can find on the site's gift shop, but while you're there be sure to check out the whole mayamada site because the indie tee scene is not the only cookie jar, these guys have got their hands in!
