That's right! It's official, September 24, 2011 Texas Teezilla will be held at Quixotic World Event Space in Deep Ellum, Dallas, TX! We are all very excited about the event being held in Deep Ellum. The homie, and Teezilla founder, J from Lies and Filth hit me up at about 2am with all sorts of news for the event.
If you aren't familiar with what Texas Teezilla is let me catch you up. Texas Teezilla will be the biggest independent t-shirt event in Texas. This will be the first year for the event and things are looking great. So far, 27 independent t-shirt brands have committed to participate in the event. Meetings have been held for advertisement space in the Dallas Observer through print and media outlets. J is also in talks with a few Dallas radio stations to get the word out on this rapidly growing event. The website, texasteezilla.com, has been purchased and is currently under construction. When the site is up and running Word of Mouth will be official contributors to the site, we are very excited about that.
Other details include: commitment from Vitamin Water and Red Bull to provide refreshments, DJ Mark McEuan and DJ REV, Swisha House recording artist Dvine, and performances by local Dallas artists to be announced at a later date.
All brands that have committed should have received an email from J last night (Aug 10th) with pricing and details of space.
